Recently, we released an Add-In to SolidWorks called
Presentation Studio.
This Add-In facilitated the creation of a single page pdf embedded with
a 3D model and related information. Along with the Add-In we included a
few pre-made themes with which you could experiment. These themes are
stored in the SolidWorks install directory under data\themes and are
specified in XML which allows them to be edited with a simple text file.
We soon received feedback reminding us that not everyone speaks
XML, and in response we’ve created a new application which provides a
graphical interface to edit Presentation Studio Themes.
Although Presentation Studio Theme Editor can run without Presentation Studio,
it is recommended that you install Presentation Studio beforehand.
Whereas we hope most features are self-explanatory, these are a few additional details for using PSTE.

|
Change the Background Image or Insert Additional Images - The image files will be copied into the
themes directory when you save the theme. |

|
Add a Text Area and Label - Drag and drop these fields from the left pane into the work area.
When you click on the text box, you’ll see two fields. The first creates a name for the text area
in Presentation Studio and the second creates an additional comment to be displayed as a tooltip.

|

|
Alignment snapping – This feature is on by default, but can be turned off to position elements with greater accuracy. |

|
The buttons which change the model area view have both a background and foreground image. The model preview image is sandwiched in between and masked by a file in the themes folder called mask_1_1.bmp. |
