Welcome to SolidWorks Labs. As you know, SolidWorks Labs provides a means for public users of the internet ("Users") to access and use new and experimental technology being developed by SolidWorks Corporation. Some of the technology is available for download and use on User's local computer and other technology is available as a hosted application from SolidWorks. We know Users may have questions regarding the privacy of their interactions on the internet. We hope this privacy policy statement will answer any questions you may have, but if it does not, please feel free to contact us at the email address or postal address shown below.

Using SolidWorks Labs - Only Limited Anonymous Use is Possible.

You must register with SolidWorks to access all of the projects and technology available at SolidWorks Labs and to use SolidWorks Labs technology with respect to your own data. There are limited demonstration projects using SolidWorks-provided data that are available to users who do not register and use of these demonstration projects can be anonymous. In general, however, you must provide SolidWorks with your name, address and certain profile information in order to fully access the technology at this site.

Use of "Invite a friend" Information

Many pages on the site enable you to invite a friend to view the technology by inserting the friend's email address. SolidWorks uses this information only to send an email to the friend containing your message or a link to the site. SolidWorks will not retain the email address for marketing purposes. If the friend registers at the site, however, SolidWorks will handle the registration information as described below.

The Use of Personal Information.

SolidWorks may use the personal information you provide us for a variety of purposes, including registration, authentication and marketing. Some projects within SolidWorks Labs use your email address to keep track of models and information you provide to the site and to return reports or analyses to you. SolidWorks may collect information such as number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed, etc., and this information will be traceable back to you. SolidWorks uses this information to analyze how people use SolidWorks Labs and to generate ideas on how the site might be improved.

We may also use your personal information to inform you of special offers, upgrades and other SolidWorks products and services that may be of interest to you. We may also share your information with SolidWorks partners or other companies and organizations providing search capabilities on the website or other complementary services.

SolidWorks stores the personal data of web site visitors and customers indefinitely and may maintain and process such information directly or indirectly in one or more databases in the United States and elsewhere. SolidWorks Labs uses "cookies" on its own behalf and from time to time on behalf of Suppliers so that we are aware of which Supplier models you are viewing and can better serve you with tailored information when you return to our site. Cookies are identifiers that a web site can send to your browser to keep on your computer to facilitate your next visit to our site. It may do such things as store the fact that you utilized certain aspects of the service so that the next time you visit our site we recognize you have certain interests. You can, if you wish, set your browser to notify you when you are sent a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it.

If you do not wish your information to be shared with SolidWorks partners or other companies or if you do not wish to receive information about additional SolidWorks products or services, please let us know (contact information below) and we will respect your wishes, however, you will no longer be able to access or use all of SolidWorks Labs. Emails we distribute describing offers we think may be of interest to you also contain instructions as to how you can opt-out of future emails.

SolidWorks does not monitor nor control the acts and postings of the users of the SolidWorks Labs. Therefore, SolidWorks is not responsible for any actions of users or third parties.
